About Educational Hands
Educational Hands Inc is a Non-Profit organization established for the purpose of addressing the growing need to educate, train and provide sign support across the globe.
In addition, Educational Hands provides sign support for building basic vocabulary and basic communication skills for new signers with (or without) verbal communication issues.
The Educational Hands Sign Support Team of Instructors are spearheaded by Dr. Ashia James and have degrees in education and extensive experience in teaching American Sign Language (ASL).
Dr. James was commissioned to develop and teach the first ASL course to Deaf Adults in Doha, Qatar. Through Educational Hands, she has developed current initiatives for Deaf Students and Teachers online through her Worldwide and Africa Continent Global Initiative (ACGI).
The ASL curriculum currently being used in the department of Continuing Education and Professional Studies at the University of Georgia was researched and developed by Dr. James.
